In-Home Support Pilot Project stream of the Age Well at Home Initiative

The primary objective of our pilot project, Town House ECHOS – Enhanced Community & Home Options for Seniors is to provide supports that enable and empower low-income or otherwise vulnerable seniors to age safely in their homes, with dignity and by choice.

All seniors 55+ in Glace Bay and surrounding areas are welcome to apply for one or more of our programs.

Snow Removal

Provide senior households with an affordable, safe snow removal option for low income and otherwise vulnerable seniors during the winter months to help relieve some of the burden from their limited income.

Home Maintenance

Hire an experienced Red Seal carpenter to supervise and instruct apprentice and experienced volunteers in light home maintenance tasks to improve safety and comfort.

Provide low income and otherwise vulnerable seniors with taxi-chits to travel to appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands.

Lawn Care

Provide basic lawn care visits to women, low income, disabled and otherwise vulnerable seniors in the community by offering supervised volunteer labourers.

Meals on Wheels &
Volunteer Drop Offs
