Clothing Depot
Good, used clothing for the current season and household items are available for persons and families in need. Bring in a garbage bag and fill it for only 25 cents per item.
Due to the changing needs of our customers, the Clothing Depot’s hours of operation may vary. Please call Town House at (902) 849-1619 for our opening hours. Donations are accepted only during office hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am-4:00pm. Any donations left outside the building will not be accepted.

Town House has a vast knowledge of community supports available for residents. We are happy to address questions and link people to services.
Courses
Town House offers a wide variety of courses to the community and is open to requests for new courses. To register, please call (902) 849-2449. The following courses are scheduled regularly and registrations are accepted on an ongoing basis:
Safe Boating Course. As required by law, all those who operate a pleasure craft including Sea Doos are required to obtain their Pleasure Craft Operator Card. We will be offering Safe Boating Courses throughout the spring and summer. Fee for the Safe Boating Course is $65.00.
Babysitting Course. The Babysitting course is open to those eleven years of age and older who would like to develop their skills in looking after smaller children. The course runs for one day and costs $40. The course fee must be paid before the day of the class as we have a minimum and maximum number of participants in each class.
First Aid/CPR. St. John Ambulance’s Standard First Aid and Level C CPR course is given over a two-day period and the cost is $110.00, which includes AED (Automated External Defibrillation).
Defensive Driving Course. Fee for the course is $75.00 This course meets the requirements of Nova Scotia’s exit from the Graduated Licensing Program. The Registry of Motor Vehicles may deduct up to four points from the record of a driver who has successfully completed a defensive driving course within the preceding year.
Tai Chi for Arthritis. Tai Chi is clinically proven to improve sleep, reduce pain, and increase mobility from arthritis. Advanced and beginners classes offered. The course runs for eight weeks and costs $80.00.
