Good, used clothing for the current season and household items are available for persons and families in need. Bring in a garbage bag and fill it for only 25 cents per item.
Due to the changing needs of our customers, the Clothing Depot’s hours of operation may vary. Please call Town House at (902) 849-1619 for our opening hours. Donations are accepted only during office hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am-4:00pm. Any donations left outside the building will not be accepted.
Good used furniture and household items are in constant demand. Town House keeps a list of requests from people who are in need of various pieces of furniture, along with a list of items that other people would like to donate. The Furniture Exchange works by putting these people in touch with each other to arrange for the transfer of the furniture or appliances. Types of furniture that are often requested include:
- kitchen tables and chairs
- living room furniture
- beds and dressers
- washers and dryers
Household items such as curtains, drapes, pots and pans, tableware and kitchen utensils can also be donated and provided to someone in need. These small items can be left at Town House during office hours only (Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.). Limited space does not allow for storage of larger furniture or appliances. If you need furniture, appliances, household goods, or have gently used items to donate, please call Town House at (902) 849-2449.
